The seasons are the opposite to Europe with the temperatures reaching as high as 40c in Rio in the height of the summer and can drop below freezing in the winter. The average temperature however, is between 20 and 28 degrees.

Things to do in Brazil

The Amazon is one of the most popular attractions in Brazil and is always worth including on a tailor made itinerary.
Iguaçu Waterfalls has over 275 individual waterfalls and here you can go water rafting under the falls.
Rio is always worth a visit to the vibrant city but when it’s the Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival its definitely the place to be.

Surfing is most popular at Joaquina Beach on Santa Catarina island and Alspo at Saquarema in Rio state.

Honeymoons in Brazil

Visit the beaches of Brazil in particular Buzios which, became a firm favourite of Bridgett Bardot. Combine this wonderful beach destination with a visit to the lively city of Rio and then on to the Iguacu waterfalls to marvel at the spectacular view.
If you feel more energetic add on a trek into the Amazon or twin Brazil up with a stop in Argentina or Chile.
