Our golf trip to the Costa del Sol went very well with the help of goeasy travel. We managed to play 4 different golf courses during a long weekend break from Friday morning until Monday evening. A driver and minibus was organized for our trip who collected us from the airport and then transported us to and from each golf course, which meant that we did not have to worry about maps and getting lost. Great weekend for all.

Getting to the Maldives - flights to the Maldives

direct flights are available with British Airways, Sri Lankan Airways and Monarch Airways to the Maldives from London Gatwick taking approximately 10.5 hours flying time. Alternative routes are indirect with Emirates via Duba, Qatar Airways via Doha and Swiss air via Zurichi.
All international flights land at Male Airport and then passengers are transfered to a speed boat or Sea Plane to continue their journey to their chosen island.

Visa & Health Requirements for the Maldives

No visa requirements are necessary for the Maldives, all UK passport holders must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity. Regular vaccinations are required and you should consult with your doctor to see if yours are up to date. General vaccinations to consider are up to date; Hepatitis A & B, typhoid, yellow Fever (if from yellow fever country), Tetanus-diphtheria, MMR and rabies.

The weather in the Maldives is a constant temperature of 85 degrees. The hotest month of the year is April with the coolest months being November. May and October record the highest rain fall. In the Southwest the Monsoon is between May and October when heavy rains, rough seas and strong winds are common. The North East monsoon is between December and April when skies are clearer, very little rain and lower humidity.
