Getting married in the Seychelles
In order to marry in the Seychelles you must apply at least 11 days before the date of the wedding. A special license may be applied for at a cost of SCR100 and will be issued within 2 days. Weddings can take place in the civil status office on wednesdays or Thursdays. Outside of the Civil office weddings can take place on any of the islands or hotels at a cost of SCR350 or SCR700 if marrying on a Saturday or sunday or after 5pm any day of the week. The fee for marrying in one of the outer islands is SCR500. Two witnesses will be required at the ceremony. a religous ceremony can be held but you must apply at least 3 months in advance and a civil service either at home or in the Seychells will be required. Best time to go to the Seychelles
The Seychelles are an all year round destination however you do need to consider what you want to do in the Seychelles and then plan when to go. For windsurfing and sailing the best time to visit the Maldives is May and October. For diving consider visiting March to May and September, October or November. The busiest periods are December, January, July and August.
