Things to take

· Skiing Gloves
· Sunglasses and goggles
· High factor suntan cream
· Wrist guards and suitable protection for boarders
· Passport photos needed for lift pass in France
· Suitable ski and board clothing – layers and two piece suits are best, remember the wind chill, will make it feel a lot colder when you are hurtling down the slopes at speed.

At night the dress is casual and think warm, many people don’t make it back in time to change before embarking on an evening of après ski!
For Christmas and New Year people do like to dress up, especially in Austria.

Equipment to hire

In all ski resorts there will be hire shops for all types of skis, sticks, boards and boots. You will also have to consider purchasing a lift pass and tuition.
This can be done prior to departure to ensure that the exact equipment you require is available for you in resort and cuts down time spent queuing on arrival day. Ask our experts to give you an “all inclusive” price with these extras. To book call 08700 540 210.

Transport

Majority of flight departures are at the weekend from most regional airports. If you can’t travel on these days, are scared of flying or want longer on the slopes there is also the option of Self Drive, the snow train and Eurostar. Alternatively we can tailor make packages to suit your requirements and offer competitively priced car hire in resort with our sister company easyautos.

Families

Families are well catered for with kids clubs and crèche facilities in all resorts most with NNEB qualified nannies and qualified instructors.
Children under 16 are only catered for in chalets on certain dates this is usually during the school holidays unless you book out a whole chalet as part of your group.
With so much family entertainment off the slopes you don’t even have to ski!
Most of the resorts offer sports centres and swimming pools, bowling alleys and cinemas. They also have ice rinks, skidoos, snowshoe walking, heli-skiing parapenting, ice climbing, snow rafting, toboggan runs and husky drawn sleigh rides. Don’t forget the excellent shopping and day and evening excursions!

Dry ski slopes

Dry ski slopes are an excellent way for beginners to learn about the equipment and pick up a few tips, which will enable them to progress quicker in resort. For intermediates and advanced They are an ideal way to keep up to date on the latest ski moves any time of year and a great way to stay in shape.
Click below to find your nearest dry skiing centre. Remember there are also three indoor ski centres in the U.K with real snow! www.skinet.co.uk
