Getting married in Sri LankaA wedding in Sri Lanka can be performed on at one of the many beach hotels in the south west coast or in the hill top area of Kandalama, or in the area of Sigiriya close to the ancient sites and the rock fortress of Sigiriya. Travel to or from the wedding ceremony on the back of an elephant for something totally different. Minimum stay required in Sri Lanka before the wedding can take place is 3 days and regular documents for weddings overseas are required.Honeymoons in Sri LankaSri Lanka hotels offer a wide choice of options for a honeymoon couple and as it is so close to Maldives it is an ideal choice for a twin centre honeymoon. The best time of year to visit Sri Lanka is between December and March on the west coast of the island to get the driest sunniest days for the beach. However you can visit Sri Lanka any time of the year as the temperature rarely drops beyond 80 degrees, however April/May and September/October sees the heaviest rain fall in Sri Lanka. For a beach holiday on the southwest coast, it is best to go between November and April. If you plan to visit the east coast, it is best to visit during the months of March to September. However the average temperature of between 27 and 29 degress is year round. |    |
