Beach Fairmont Hotel Bermuda
Fairmont Bermuda sits on one of the most stunning beaches in the world, Horse Shoe bay with its beautiful pink sandy beach shaped in a horse shoe. Visited and photographed by nearly every cruise itinerary and visitor to the island! There lies the problem as when the cruise ships are in this beautiful beach becomes very busy, but only for a short time.
Our top tip – Visit the beach early and enjoy a walk or run as the sun rises for the day. At each end of the horse shoe there are private rock pool areas to escape the crowds.
Buses Fairmont Hotel Bermuda
The hotel offers complimentary buses to get around the resort to the beach, the golf and the Waterlot restaurant. They run every 10 minutes and make life a bit easier for getting around as the hotel sits on a hill. Take a ride down to the beach or walk and then call from the beach for the bus to come back and pick you up, if it’s not already there. Equally the same bus will take you to the golf club and drop you there to play the hotel par 3 course Turtle hill.
Our Tip – Walk down the hill for some exercise to work off all the fabulous food and then take the bus back up to the hotel.
Eating Fairmont Hotel Bermuda
There is a choice of 10 restaurants including The Waterlot, an award winner restaurant of the prestigious AAA Four Diamond award, housed in a large traditional Bermuda cottage. This restaurant offers excellent service in a lovely waterside setting with a great selection of food. The steak is highly recommended and whilst not cheap for a hotel restaurant it makes for a very pleasant evening. Walk down but make sure you take the shuttle bus back, its a long walk up that hill.
