Tanzania is becoming more and more a popular option as a holiday and honeymoon destination. Combine Safari with beautiful white sand beaches in Zanzibar and on the Kenyan coast of Mombassa. Flights are direct from London into Nairobi or Mombassa in Kenya or Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.
Dar es Salaam is the largest and capital city of Tanzania and is home to a selection of hotels, restaurants, bars, office buildings and banks. Its busy harbour is the main port in Tanzania.
Seven kilometres to the north of the city you will find Bongoyo Island Marine Reserve where there are many excellent dive sites and areas for snorkelling. In the reserve you can find beautiful beaches, secluded islands, and many different types of marine species. To the South of Dar es Salaam you will find the more remote and popular National parks and reserves, Selous and Ruaha which give you a true feeling of the African Beach. A combination of the two areas will give you an excellent safari experience. Selous camps tend to be located close or on the Rufiji river or the Lake Nzerekera here your game rides will combine open top jeep, boat and by foot. Ruaha is set in the central highlands area and has amore rugged and remote landscape with a wide assortment of game and birds.
If you are looking for a romantic retreat just 15 minutes from Dar es Salaam then look no further than Ras Kutani a perfect hide away of 12 simply furnished bamboo thatched cottages with large verandahs overlooking the lagoon or ocean. Or for something a little more remote then consider the Lazy Lagoon Island, which is reached by road and then boat and has only 12 rooms offering activities such as snorkelling, boating, fishing and nature walks.
Many UK tour operators offer excellent tours as a package but can also tailor make the holiday or honeymoon to suit the individual. At goeasy travel we can offer you a full package with flights, accommodation and transfers or just your ground arrangements if you have already booked your flights.
