Getting Married in the Bahamas

Getting Married is very easy with little restrictions. You will need to apply for a license from the Commissioner’s office on the Island that you wish to be married after both the bride and groom have been residents for 1 day. The fee for the license is normally 120USD and you will need to provide your passport as a photo ID and the stamp in your passport for proof of residency.
If either of the bride or groom has been previously married, then the original divorce decree or, in the case of a widow or widower, the original marriage and death certificates will be required to be produced.
