Old Delhi Tour
On route to the airport, we visit old Delhi and Gandhi’s resting ground. Old Delhi is as vibrant and wild as the west side of Delhi when we arrived that first day, it reminds me of what I love about India. The crazy-busy streets were full of noise and congestion. I know I will be back, and soon.
Our visit to the resting ground of Gandhi is in a large green park area that is used by many for picnics and early morning exercise in the cooler part of the day. It takes about 20 minutes in total to pay homage to Gandhi and its a peaceful walk in a relaxed environment. It is a world away from the streets we drive through to get there.

We arrive at the airport and say goodbye to our driver of the last 4 days and our guide and head into the airport. We check-in and discover that compliments of Virgin Atlantic we have received an upgrade to Premium Economy, the perfect end to a very long week. I would highly recommend considering upgrading flights from the UK as it makes the journey so much easier.
As we proceed through to security, we discover why there is no unemployment in India as most of the population seem to be employed to either scan or frisk your body, your luggage or check your passport or boarding card. It seems like every 5 minutes we are showing either our passport or our boarding card.

We end our trip with a visit on the plane we toast one another with Champagne and reminisce on all that we have seen and experienced. India is like no other destination I have visited with its old and new and vibrant colourful life.
It has been a trip of a lifetime and one that we will not forget. We laugh as we sing our songs from our coach tours, all related to cows. “Who let the cows out? Moo Moo Moo Moo.” and She’s got the mooooves like Jagger”
